Weather permtting, my children and I are going to be celebrating the Royal Wedding in tradtional style with grandma Penelope on the green at Tockington with a royal tea party. These are the cupcakes that I have made to take along
At Scrummy Mummy's Cakes (previously Yummy Mummy's) I bake and create cakes that not only look lovely but taste SCRUMMY too. I will work with you to design a cake that fits the occassion and meets your budget. Please take a look at my cakes at the bottom of the page! All cakes are made with the freshest possible ingredients from my farm kitchen in Lower Almondsbury. I only use unsalted butter and my eggs come from my own free-range chickens and ducks, resulting in the tastiest cakes ever!

My interpretation of a cake for a princess!
I have had a couple of quieter weeks recently and I have been working on a wedding cake that I think a princess would want for her special day. I wanted to use as many techniques as possible but still keep it clean and simple. This is the design I came up with and I absolutely love it!

Easter Treats
I have a tradition of making Easter biscuits every Easter for my family and I'm usually lucky if there are any left by Easter Sunday. They are made to a traditional recipe which includes a very strongly flavoured oil called cassia. My grandpa bought my first bottle for me about 25 years ago and I still use it today although it is now far more difficult to get hold of!
Enjoy your Easter break and look out for a wedding cake towards the end of next week x

Time with the kids and in my garden!
I haven't taken on much work over the last couple of weeks so that I can spend some time doing nice things with my girlies and also so that I can get all this seasons veg potted and planted. Just three rows of potatoes left to go in now!
I am currently working on a wedding cake and making all the flowers needed for that. I have also just finished a giant cupocake for a young man named Kai who is going to be 21. His girlfriend Jemma suggested a rugby theme and we decided to go with his team colours of black and red and to steer clear of anything red, blue and white.

A suprise for a 60th birthday
This cake was ordered by a customer for her mum's 60th birthday. The lady's mum has decided that she would like to start to collect perfume atomisers, so this is one to start her off!

Back and ready for any new challenges you might want to put my way!
Prague was a wonderful few days off form the hustle and bustle of family life, but it's good to be back, especially when the sun is shining over here too!
Once I have finished vaxing my bedroom (Gracie smashed here snow dome all over my carpet at 7.30 this morning) I am going to be mixing all the ingredients together for 3 fruit cakes in readiness for a tasting session tomorrow evening with a friend of a friend whom I hope is going to let me create her wedding cake this June.
Then after that I'm off to do the school run and collect my cake boxes from The Bowl Inn (let's hope that the cakes were well received).
One of my projects for next week is a perfume atomiser so hopefully there will be some more pics by the the middle of next week.
Enjoy your weekends in the sun! x

Still haven't packed but mother's day cupcakes are finished!
It's all a little bit fraught in my house today, loads to do still. my mum's coming to stay and look after my children while i go away to Prague and somehow you feel obliged to leave everything spotless so that your kids can trash it while you're away!
I have just finished the cupcakes for The Bowl and they are absolutely gorgeous (I think I'm allowed to sing my own praises in this case).
No More cakes after these for a week so enjoy!
