Today I have just put the finishing touches to an order for a baby shower. The lady, Emma who is collecting the cake later also ordered her wedding cake from me. I know that Emma always like to go for something that makes an impact and I am quite optimistic that she is going to love what I have created for her (with inspiration from the great Debbie Brown)!
At Scrummy Mummy's Cakes (previously Yummy Mummy's) I bake and create cakes that not only look lovely but taste SCRUMMY too. I will work with you to design a cake that fits the occassion and meets your budget. Please take a look at my cakes at the bottom of the page! All cakes are made with the freshest possible ingredients from my farm kitchen in Lower Almondsbury. I only use unsalted butter and my eggs come from my own free-range chickens and ducks, resulting in the tastiest cakes ever!

Tumbling hellebore two tier 80th birthday cake
Foe any one that has been following me on Facebook as well, they will know that this week hasn't been particularly nice. Hopefully that is all sorted now, and thankfully I was still able to concentrate on creating this lovely cake. It is for an old school friend's mum who will be celebrating her 80th birthday. Naomi has flown in from honk Kong to be with the rest of her family for this very special day, and let's hope they have a wonderful day!

Cornflower garden scene cake
I have been really looking forward to doing this cake firstly because it is so pretty, and secondly because I wanted to try hand painting on a cake.
The cake is being collected by a lady named Leanne (we hope , as she is now over a week late past her due date) who has had a couple of cakes from me previously and it is always nice when customers return.
I am not the cheapest person for cakes in my local area, but I like to think that customers who come back to me do so because they enjoy eating the cake as much as the look of the cake?
I am also very happy to announce that my first course on may 19th is completely full (actually had to fit 1 extra in), and hopefully word will soon spread and I can share my love of all things cake with a few more of you!

Scrummy Mummy's Cake School
I have spoken to my business insurance providers this morning and now have the go ahead to start giving lessons from home!! I was hoping to take the first session in about a month's time. There will be 4 places available on each course to enable me to give everyone plenty of help.
The theme for the first course will be vintage cupcakes, and at the end of the session you will take home one of my lovely 3d shop cake boxes with your wonder creations inside.
All equipment and materials will be provided and I will also be putting together a kit containing what I consider to be the essential equipment required to decorate cupcakes. These kits will be available to preorder for collection on the day of the course.
Course notes will also be available for you take home, together with the recipe for the petal paste that we will be making on the day.
The session will cost £37.50 and will run for 3 hours.
If you are interested in participating please message me, and also include any preferences for timing, ie. am or pm.

Easter Cakepops
These cakepops are copied from a book that I recently bought, (I thought they looked quite quick and easy - ha ha)!
They are for a customer that I recently worked for, and she is giving them as little treats this Easter.
