At Scrummy Mummy's Cakes (previously Yummy Mummy's) I bake and create cakes that not only look lovely but taste SCRUMMY too. I will work with you to design a cake that fits the occassion and meets your budget. Please take a look at my cakes at the bottom of the page! All cakes are made with the freshest possible ingredients from my farm kitchen in Lower Almondsbury. I only use unsalted butter and my eggs come from my own free-range chickens and ducks, resulting in the tastiest cakes ever!

21st birtday cake with peonies and girlie cupcake tower
My final cake of the week is for the daughter of my lovely friend Helen. We have been friends since we were at school and probably only catch up 3 or 4 times a year, but that's all we need to put the world to right, and have a good girlie chat.
Helen left the design up to me, so long as it was feminine, and I took this as an opportunity to make peonies to go on the main cake.

Strawberry whoopie pies!
These little treasures really are my idea of heaven! I adapted a recipe from the Hummingbird book and the resulting cakes are absolutely amazing! Those lucky people at LV are going to find it hard to choose tomorrow!
These cakes are all the rave in The States at the moment and now I know why. Made using natural yogurt and whole milk to bind the mix together, they are incredibly light and tasty. They are then sandwiched together with a buttercream and vanilla fluff. Yum yum!

Cake pops for Breast Cancer Research
This is my first attempt at cake pops. They are part of a large order placed by LV in support of Breast Cancer Research. I really like them and my girls think they are delicious!
Peppa pig
I have made several Peppa Pig cakes since being in business, but never an actual 3d Peppa . I really enjoyed making this one and it was a challenge to have to make a cake it look quite simplistic. The main body of the cake was made from vanilla sponge, but the legs and snout were made from a cookie pop mixture, which is nice for any younger children attending the party. The pictures are actually quite deceptive and don't give you a true perspective of size, the cake is actually nearly 2ft tall!

'Thank you' giant cupcake
I have taken a little time out to try and finish off all the bits of outstanding painting at home and now I am refreshed and ready for all the lovely jobs that I have booked in.
my first offering for you is a giant cupcake that I have made for a lovely lady named Linda Lewis who has been a teaching assistant and French teacher at Almondsbury primary School for 29 years. Linda will be leaving Almondsbury this Friday, and as she has taught all seven of my children I felt very honoured to be asked to make a cake for her. Linda, all the parents, children and pupils will miss you enormously!

Mad Hatter's Tea Party
My one and only cake this week is for a lady who is having a Mad Hatter's tea party tomorrow to celebrate her birthday. It has taken hours and hours of work and my hands are so stained with colour that I don't think the colour will ever come out!
Hopefully Laura will have 'A very merry, unhappy birthday'.
